Prehistory

In the Iron Age, there was a kingdom called the Scythian Kingdom that existed from 750-250 BC with ancient Greek colonies in the 6th century BC. In the 3rd century AD, the Goths went to the lands of Ukraine around the time of 250-375 AD which they called Oium. In the 7th century, the land of modern Ukraine was the middle of the state of the Bulgars known as Old Great Bulgaria.

There have been Ukrainian civilizations since 4800 BC. The Trypillian and Scythian civilizations thrived in the land where Ukraine is today. At their peak in the 7th century B.C., the Scythians actively traded with civilizations in lands as far away as China, Persia, Egypt, and Greece.
